Because of this blog (see below) which gave us the terrible news of the closing of yet another local, specialized eatery in our community, I thought I'd seek one of these thing-a-ma-jigs that made it so popular. (umm, if it was so cool, why did it close?) I know Carol and I had been given at least one of these as a wedding gift, but dang if I can find it. I know we never used it but held on to it for all these years, "just in case" but its location remains a mystery. I hate it when that happens. I seriously want one of those fondue cookers. My Sister in law has one and does all these yummy dips with it. Chocolate, Cheese etc... find it and invite us over! :)
I think I have one in a box, but is that box in UT or NV? Hmmm...Dallas may have to wait awhile for me to find it.
Do you remember when your dad got on the fondue kick? He did cheese fondue, and also cooked strips of steak in peanut oil with the fondue pot (and created a few dipping sauces). Or was that when you were in the Army? My memory ain't what it used ta be!
I think someone (you) should host a fondue party!
I've been actually been thinking about getting one...so I've kept an eye out. Why is it, when you want one, you can't find one? which restaurant closed???
