More happenstance information. (Rules of survival in prison - actual stuff- not that anyone reading this will find use for it....) There are obvious similarities that certainly apply to life outside as well as inside prison.
1. Don’t get involved with punks.
2. Do not discuss your crime.
3. Do not get involved in gambling.
4. Do not collaborate with guards against prisoners .
5. Do not become indebted to anyone.
6. Don’ t stare at another prisoner .
7. Don’t use drugs.
8. Work out.
9. Keep your mouth shut.
10. Be respectful and polite.
I found this intrinsically ironic....as the person who wrote these could've followed them on the "outside" and avoided the prison scene. *Define #9 . . . I could have a problem with this one!

I think #9 is a problem for me, too. I hope I never have to use any of these rules except on the outside.
I agree with Carol. On a side note, I think you should do more posts about your memories as a police officer. I love reading those.
