Not too sure about . . . .

. . . . this wedding ceremony, albeit, it would is one to "remember always."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-94JhLEiN0 Got this via email, don't want to step on toes of anyone who specializes in youtube sites :) but had to share. I suppose, if this ceremony sets the stage for a very entertaining marriage, it's okay. But even then, I have to wonder. Day to day life is real, this five minutes. I asked two guys at work about it, telling them my opinion, "It kinda takes away the seriousness of the occasion." They both said, almost in unison, "You can't take marriage too seriously." Both have ex-wives, one several. Seriously. (I actually think it would be great, IF the bride entered differently and the atmosphere turned solemn.) Do we take life too seriously?

I saw this video last week and loved it! I wish we'd done this at our wedding, but that Methodist minister might have freaked out. Marriage should be taken seriously, but having a little fun makes it so much better.

It is serious business; but why not have fun too? I'm reminded of your dad who took life seriously, (altho he did joke and laugh some). Do you recall the time we were having dinner and he told Gail "No singing at the table"?

I don't know what to think. I thought it was a little irreverent at first, but once I saw it a couiple of times I changed my mind. I think we are too serious sometimes. Music at church is probably my biggest gripe. Why can't we have some songs that are a little more upbeat. I'm not talking saxaphone and drums, but please, most of the songs are way too slow and dated.

I have always been a fan of bucking the system and going against the grain. I love something different and fun!!
